Price growth has been flattening in the housing market for a few months , and that trend is now continuing. At its peak in January this year, homes for sale were 20.2 percent more expensive than a year earlier. Meanwhile, price increases have roughly returned to 2020 and 2019 levels. Nevertheless, prices are much higher than then.
In October, fewer homes were sold, writes CBS based on figures from the Land Registry. Those were 14,863 homes, 8 percent less than in 2021. At the peak of price increases, the number of sold properties experienced a low point, which has now also ended.
